And we are back to the end of August thinking where did summer go
Looking forward to the fall and figuring out how to keep warm

A Day Diary

It is hard to explain the feelings that come once you return to a place you once called home. It is a feeling of fulfilment yet a feeling that leaves your stomach empty for days. It is nostalgia and the little moments you realize you once took for gruanteed. It is everything you've known as a child and everything you forgot as an adult. It is a place that never changed but for some reason does not look the same anymore.

Sometimes I walk the streets pretending to be in another city
Sometimes I walk the streets feeling like I am part of the city
Sometimes I walk the streets trying to understand the city
Sometimes I walk the streets and admire the city
Sometimes I just walk the streets and smile
and sometimes I walk the streets and know that I am home

My appreciation and love for art and artists is impossible to describe, and it has all been put in front of me in Miami. Myself and Sonya went on a little exploration trip at Wynwood and found some wonderful art. The harmony of the different artworks and installations together were just a beautiful symphony.

I find it interesting that I can feel at home in a city I have never been to before. I guess the only explanation is that I am a warm climate girl, and that is a solid guess because, although I live in Toronto I was born and raised in Israel , which is well known for its hot climate amongst other things. Also, I love the fact that I can wear summer dresses in the evening and not be cold… It's truly a miracle, as I am an indvidual who gets cold very fast… So no summer dresses for me in Toronto, but in Miami its a bundle of joy! I love you Miami.

I've never been to Miami before, but now I will never forget it. This city is unbeleviably beautiful and charming! Walking through the streets makes you feel like you are in a movie with some 70's vibes and modern twists. The music on the street, the smell of the beach and the wonderful palm trees just make me want to stay for a few more weeks. Today was the day me and my friend Sonya have arrived to the city. We had a long day but we used it to its fullest. we got to go to the beach and spend most of the day there and then we enjoyed the rest of what the city had to offer with endless interesting buildings and stores, I wish Toronto was as architecturally interesting as Miami.
