Closure

I'm one of those people who takes the end and the beginning of the year way to seriously.
I think and think and think about everything and everyone who had an affect on my life in this past year and imagine  the way the new year will come along. Sometimes I try to hold on and not over think it, but as well as I know myself my brain over takes my wishes. So here I am closing this year for good. Its been GOOD and its been BAD but all around it was influential and important and for that I am happy to say I can let it go. Thanks for a beautiful year , and for many more to come.

The Cold

Is it too early to cry over summer? I am no longer digging this winter...
I was never a winter lover, and the sooner it comes the faster I want it to disappear *hence* my face in this picture. Another thing I hate about winter is that light is limited and I can never get things done before 3 and that drives me crazy because after that it's pitch black and depressing! Am I the only one who can't stand winter? I am so ready for my summer vacation!
well on that note, Happy Holidays :)

Transition

The warmth of October has now vanished and the cold of November has arrived.
Throughout October I had a chance to take a few photos and document the month through what I saw around me. I was really happy I was able to see nature at its prime, as it is the most wonderful time of the year! And it was nice to get into photography after a long break.

Sweater / Zara | Blouse & Bag / Romwe | Pants / A.E | Shoes / Jeffery Campbell | Watch / Timex

Remember how I said I've been into Black, Grey & White?
ya I wasn't lying, everything I've been wearing has them present lately.
BUT I decided I will try and improve this selection and add a bit of colour, and so I did.
As you can see in this look I tried my best to add as much colour without over doing the other two tones. I'd say that I blend pretty well with the nature behind me, don't you think? I must say, this past week has had the most beautiful warm fall days. This gives me hope for winter... crossing my fingers!

Oh so Beanie

It's that time of year again, BEANIES !
I think this is one of the most wonderful things about the fall aside from,
pumpkins, Halloween, tea season, scarfs, yellow leaves, boots.... you get the point
I find beanies as the go to item to spice up a look from too soft to edge and slick.
It's hard to go wrong with a beanie.
SOO now it's time to pull your favourite beanie out and rock it with your oh so wonderful army jacket ;)

The Movement of Simplicity

Blouse / Romwe | Pants / Garage | Shoes / To be Announced

Sometimes having no statement makes a statement
I pick my cloths according to my mood,
Lately it's been black, white, grey and navy blue
I can't say that something is wrong because its not,
but I have  fallen in love with the simplicity of colour
now, I know I stand big on being bold and not boring
but I realized that even when you are wearing those simple shades and colours
you can in fact make a statement a good one, and a bold one
Just look at how you pair what you want to wear
make sure that if your outfit is too simple, the shoes are a BANG!
just balance your look, I find that to be the best way to carry out simplicity and elgance

Thursday's Inspiration

Someday, someone is going to look at you like you’re the best thing in the world.
Who sees the human face correctly: the photographer, the mirror, or the painter?
— Pablo Picasso
Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.
— George Addair

It's been a while and I'm not gonna run you with excuses as to where I've been and what I've done because trust me it is nothing important. But, hey, look how cool I made this space! I am so happy with it, ya maybe I'll change something here and there but this is the new rad space i'll be sharing my stuff at. Also all my posts really revolve around style and cloth that I seem to have forgotten that I also stand for ART & CULTURE so from now on this space will be all that I stand for, and if I fail you , you may spam the hell out of me! I wanted to start with a little post of bits and dits of inspiration and thought provoking images to get the mind running and thinking... so what do ya think?  I may make it a thing, it also gets my mind running putting this stuff together.

Tank & Pants / Aritzia  | Blouse /  Mendocino | Shoes (same style) / little burgundy  | Necklace / H&M  | Watch / Timex

My current style inspiration is quite as the title suggests.  I am not so sure as to why this is so, but I think it has to do a lot with the colour and the gentle feel the two give out. As it is near the end of summer and the fall is sneaking up upon us, this is really the last summer feel outfit for this time, unless the leaves won't fall and summer will remain for much longer. But hey living in Canada one day it is summer and the next it is winter. Anyways I hope all is good with you guys, and that you liked my video.

Risky & Frisky

 Shirt / American Apparel | Skirt / Romwe | Bag / Romwe | Shoes / JC

Risky and frisky! I know many people may find this look to be a little out of their comfort zone let alone a possibility of a look. But I truly do like this outfit. I  Love mixing colours and patterns together and form something different. Sometimes it looks a little too much, I will agree. But what's the fun in dressing up if you can't just own it like you want it?
It is often hard to find a good mix patterns let alone pattern and many colours, but success come with trial and error. I think this look is a pretty good example of many things yet little things.

Shirts / Topshop | Shorts / AE | Necklace / Romwe | Boots / Docs | Belt / Aritzia

punk? grunge ? indie ? It is hard for me to really define my style. I've been through so many phases that I wanna brand my style as "Anat" because one thing will always stay the same and that is the BUN and the DOCS.  The more I look the more I realize that I have a tendency to go with the weirder less casual things, and honestly it feels great! This may not be a great example of something extreme, but I do enjoy the everlasting confused faces I get.  But again the more I try to define my style the more lost I get because it has influence and inspiration from everything I have ever laid my eyes on. So what would you say your style would be?

Today for example I paired my look with a plain red shirt, and a cool weird necklace to keep the pop. Along side a pair of high waisted shorts and of course the oh so cool Docs. Some times simplicity is complexity in disguise.

Montreal / First Day

Today was our first full day in Montreal and I must say that this is the first time in months I walked so much. Although I am still in Canada it still feels like I am out of the country. It is so nice and different... It's very fresh. Today we went to the Art Museum, The Notre-Dame Basilica  and also gave the Jazz festival a visit. It has definitely been a long day full of crazy events and everlasting memories.
I will probably be posting the vlog of this day sometime tomorrow (I'll try my best... if not expect it in a few days) if you you're not already a subscriber, subscribe to me on : youtube.com/artcultureandstyle

Outside the City

It's been a while since I got away from the city and the suburbs and really been within nature and within a small community. Today we got in the car and drove to a small city named Port Perry about an hour away from Toronto. Now if you wanna see true authentic Canadians (Canadian culture) then this is the place. I think we were the only displaced individuals as to how everyone knows each other and is just so polite and friendly.  Now, don't get me wrong... we have this here in Toronto but those are 5th generation Canadians , so it is a bit different. It was a very nice day, the weather was on our side, and we just enjoyed every second of it. And the drive was as pleasant as the place itself. If you follow me on Instagram ( and if you don't you should ;)  I did post some pictures documenting the drive. It is absolutely breath taking! I am looking forward to this up coming season. All I can say is that I wanna get out and explore everything !
